Marylon Hall Receives Honorary Life Award
Marylon Hall (left) of RE/MAX Grey Bruce Realty Inc. in Owen Sound was awarded an Honorary Life Award with the REALTORS® Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound (the “Board”) during its Annual General Meeting held October 23/19. Congratulating Marylon on her award is RAGBOS 2019-20 President, Barbara Dirckx.
Marylon joined the pre-amalgamated Owen Sound & District Real Estate Board in March of 1976 and became President in 1982, being the third female Board President since its inception in 1959.
Marylon has been a member and chair of a number of Board Committees and has been the recipient of numerous real estate awards over her career. She is a proud supporter and advocate for Women in Business and regularly attends and participates in Owen Sound Chamber of Commerce meetings and functions. She is also a member of the Owen Sound Downtown Business Association.
Her charitable work is a big part of her life as she believes in giving back to her community and promoting this beautiful area of Grey & Bruce Counties. A strong supporter of many charities including the Children’s Miracle Network, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, Heart & Stroke, Alzheimer’s, Doctors without Borders, Women’s Centre of Bruce & Grey, Roxy Theatre and the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, just to name a few.
Marylon is an advocate for other REALTOR® Members to get involved in Board activities, committees and to seek a position as a Director on the Board. She has encouraged many people to seek a career in real estate to be able to assist home buyers and sellers with the largest single investment they are likely ever to make.
Marylon has demonstrated professionalism, leadership, participation and good community citizenship both within the real estate industry and her local community. Marylon is only the 8th person to have received such status over the past 60 years. Congratulations on well-deserved recognition.
